PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a burden of correcting work for misaligning a button with a hole. SOLUTION: A button sewing machine is equipped with a button retaining means 20, a vertically driving means 30 for vertically moving a needle bar 31, a moving means 40 for relatively positioning a needle 11 and the button, a storage means 98 for storing sewing data for positioning the moving means to sew the button on a fabric, an action control means 91 for controlling the actions of inserting the needle in holes H for inserting a thread and sewing the button on the fabric by the vertically driving means and the moving means, a confirming and positioning control means for positioning the button and the needle at a confirmed position based on the sewing data before sewing the button, and correction operating means 94 for receiving an input for operating to correct the relative position of the button and the needle at the confirmed positions. The action control means sews the button by driving the moving means and the vertically driving means from the input amount for the correction and the sewing data in the storage means.
