SOLUTION: This intellectual training puzzle 1 is provided with a plurality of pieces 3 displaying known characters, and a piece mat board 2 displaying unknown character frames 5 for arrangingly mounting the pieces 3. The character on the piece 3 and the character on the character frame 5 are displayed mutually related, the piece 3 including a character having a correspondence and the character frame 5 are formed into the same shape, and all the pieces 3 including the character with no correspondence are formed into different shapes from the character frame 5.
