<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional walking support device wherein the work in wearing a harness is difficult. <P>SOLUTION: The walking support device comprises a movable body movable on a walking surface 11, a hanging wire holder body mounted above the movable body, the harness 5 hanging from a hanging wire 4 located under the upper end of the the hanging wire holder body, and a hanging force changing mechanism 15 capable of changing the hanging force applied to the hanging wire 4.
