<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surround system for creating a sound field space wherein high presence can be obtained even when a surround speaker that is disposed at the side or the back of a listener is arranged in front of the listener. <P>SOLUTION: A surround system 100 comprises a signal processor 120 to which signals of a plurality of channels are inputted for each channel and which performs signal processing for each channel, and a speaker system 130 which includes various kinds of speakers corresponding to channels and particularly includes a surround speaker which is disposed while its radiation axis is directed toward at least one wall surface at the side of or above a listener. The signal processor 120 includes an echo addition circuit 122 for adding an echo component to a surround signal, a frequency characteristic correction circuit 123 for correcting frequency characteristics for each surround signal, and a delay circuit 124 for adding a delay time to a main signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
