CROSS-CONNECT DEVICE, OPTICAL CROSS-CONNECT DEVICE AND LINE RELIEF METHOD USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line relief method for rerouting a line at a high speed even at the time of a fault of a node to which the line is set simultaneously with the efficient utilization of a band, in the case that a fault is generated in a network interconnected in a mesh shape.

SOLUTION: By providing a function of generating and transferring information relating to the changeover control of the line corresponding to a detected fault and received changeover control information, a function of deciding the transfer destination of the information and a function of deciding the action of editing the line of an own node or the like for each node, the need of resetting the line by a host device managing the network is eliminated and the line is relieved at a high speed. Also, by a method of confirming the normality of a backup route at the time of a normal operation and the line relief method using it, failure recovery at a higher speed is made possible.
