<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trademark management system enabling efficient management of processing for renewal of registered trademarks with reduced burdens on customers and patent attorney's offices. <P>SOLUTION: According to the trademark management system of this invention, registered trademarks whose renewal deadlines fall within a period N from a time t<SB>n</SB>to a time t<SB>n+1</SB>are handled as target trademarks, and preliminary registration information on the target trademarks is collectively accepted for a specified period within a period N from a time t<SB>n-2</SB>that precedes the time t<SB>n</SB>by a period 2N to a time t<SB>n-1</SB>that precedes the time t<SB>n</SB>by a period N. Then, information indicating that the renewal deadline is getting close is notified during a period N from the time t<SB>n-1</SB>to the time t<SB>n</SB>, and in response to this, formal registration information is accepted within a specified period. Upon acceptance of the formal registration information, processing such as the renewal procedure for the target trademarks is started from the time t<SB>n</SB>based on the formal registration information.
