PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optimum conditions when decomposing dioxins. SOLUTION: A membrane fraction is obtained from Bacillus midousuji. The membrane fraction and the respective isomers (17 isomers) of the dioxins are added into soybean-casein digest broth to which yeast extract is added. For respective samples, a temperature, reaction time, a hydrogen ion concentration, the amount of heavy metals and the amounts of the respective isomers of the dioxins are changed. As a result, the conditions capable of effectively decomposing the dioxins for the temperature, the reaction time and the hydrogen ion concentration, etc., have been established.
