PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article feeder capable of reliably feeding an article to be sorted to a corresponding stacking box by decelerating the article on inclined surface parts close to a feeding destination. SOLUTION: A first deceleration plate 42 and a second deceleration plate 43 are provided on inclined surfaces 32 and 33 close to a feeding destination. Lightweight articles are decelerated by the second deceleration plate 43, and heavy articles are decelerated by the second deceleration plate 43 and the first deceleration plate 42. The final feeding speed can be unified irrespective of the weight of articles 12 to be fed, and the articles can be reliably fed to the target feed destination. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
