The lubricant dispenser has a sleeve (1) with an outlet for dispensing lubricant. A piston (2) fits into this and a gas-generating cell is mounted above it. The cell consists of an outer cup (8) which acts as an electrode and contains a sponge impregnated with electrolyte. Current is provided by a battery (6). The other electrode is mounted in a plastic cap (10). The cup has a gas outlet in its rim.
