PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic semiconductor thin film exhibiting high mobility, and a method for producing the thin film; to provide a material for producing the organic semiconductor thin film by a wet process, and a method for producing the material; and to provide an organic semiconductor element having excellent electronic characteristics. SOLUTION: A homogeneous solution is prepared by heating a mixture of pentacene with 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene. A dispersion in which pentacene particles are dispersed in the 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene is obtained by crystallizing the fine particles of the pentacene by rapidly cooling the solution. A silicone substrate having a pattern of gold electrodes as source/drain electrodes formed thereon is heated, and the dispersion is coated on the surface thereof. As a result, the pentacene fine particles are dissolved in the 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene on the silicone substrate to form purplish-red solution. Thereafter, the 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene evaporates and a purplish-red thin film of the pentacene is formed to form a transistor. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
