PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a solid state laser device capable of obtaining a long-pulse solid state laser beam having high output by simple and highly reliable constitution. SOLUTION: The solid state laser device consists of a solid state laser medium 1, a light source 2 for exciting the solid state laser medium 1, and two reflection mirrors 3, 4 constituting a laser resonator through the solid state laser medium 1. In the solid state laser device, a virtual mirror surface 5 is set between the solid state laser medium 1 and the reflection mirror 4, and a lens 6 is arranged between the virtual mirror surface 5 and the reflection mirror 4. On reciprocating routes of virtual mirror surface to lens to reflection mirror to lens to virtual mirror surface, the virtual mirror surface 5 on the reciprocating route is constituted so as to be optically conjugate.
