SOLUTION: The wavelength converting device which makes the wavelength of light shorter or longer includes a 1st window where light is incident, a nonlinear optical single crystal whose phase is matched to make the wavelength of the light longer or shorter, and a 2nd window where the light whose wavelength is made shorter or longer exits. The light whose wavelength is shorter or longer resonates between the 1st window and 2nd window and the 1st window, nonlinear optical single crystal, and 2nd window are made of the same material.
