PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic nucleic acid isolating/refining system at reduced cost, compactly and easily housing an anti-dropping means intended for causing neither staining nozzle surroundings nor contamination on samples as a result of e.g. scattering of droplets left on the tip of a nozzle when a liquid is injected from the dispensing injection nozzle into a nucleic acid isolating/refining cartridge. SOLUTION: The system has the following construction and mechanism: The dispensing injection nozzle 51 is connected via a changeover valve 55 to pressure-generating units 52 and 53, which, in turn, are connected via the changeover valve 55 to a liquid tank 56. A prescribed amount of a liquid in the liquid tank 56 is extruded from the nozzle 51 by the pressure-generating units 52 and 53, thereafter, a prescribed minute amount of the liquid is sucked from the nozzle 51 by the identical pressure-generating units 52 and 53.
