PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit an image file at a high speed between a digital camera and an electronic apparatus such as a personal computer. SOLUTION: The USB connector 34 and IEEE1394 connector 35 of a digital still camera 2 are connected with the USB connector 71 and IEEE1394 connector 72 of a personal computer 65. USB1.1 communication units 36 and 73 and IEEE1394 communication units 37 and 72 of them are operated independently and simultaneously, and an image file recorded in a memory card 30 is transmitted to the personal computer 65. Communication speed is enhanced by transmitting a small size image file and thumbnail data using a low speed USB1.1 communication unit and transmitting a large size image file using a high speed IEEE1394 communication unit, and a limited communication band can be utilized effectively.
