PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration analysis device and a vibration analysis method with frequency analysis function capable of direct digitization and frequency analysis of a sound signal. SOLUTION: The system comprises: a vibration plate 21 for mechanical vibration; a modulated light irradiation means 1 for irradiating the vibration plate 21 with the light, the intensity of which is modulated with sinusoidal waves; and a demodulation means 2 for frequency analysis of the vibration by detecting the light via the vibration plate 21, and demodulates the repetitive signal as the synchronous signal. The modulated light irradiation means 1 includes the light source 43 for light irradiation and the modulator 42 for modulating the output of the light source 43 for the vibration plate 21 so as to periodically vary the light intensity. The demodulation means 2 includes the light detector 31 for detecting the light via the vibration plate 21, and converting into an electric signal, the amplifier 32 for amplifying the electric signal, and the demodulator 33 for demodulating the amplified electric signal amplified by the amplifier 32 with the frequency of a sine wave, and for frequency analysis of the mechanical vibration by obtaining the amplitude and phase information of the vibration of the vibration plate 21.
