PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound insulating wall structure capable of improving sound insulating performance, by relieving reduction in the sound insulating performance by the coincidence effect. SOLUTION: A vibration control material 5 is arranged so as to contact with a backing stud 2 for fixing a face material 3. In this case, the vibration control material 5 is arranged in a part except for a contact plane of the backing stud 2 and the facing material 3, and may not exist on the contact plane of the backing stud 2 and the facing material 3. The vibration control material 5 is interposed between the contact planes of the backing stud 2 and the facing material 3, and is preferably arranged to contact with both the face material 3 and the backing stud 3.
