PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify an overhead door and reduce even a manufacturing cost, and to easily open and close a shutter curtain in the small-sized overhead door, particularly the manually openable and closeable overhead door. SOLUTION: The overhead door is constituted so that the overhead door can be lifted and lowered along guide rails 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, a shutter curtain 9 is installed to a ceiling section 10 in a storable manner and a slide rail 31 is mounted in parallel or approximately parallel with the ceiling-side guide rails 4 and 5 of the guide rails. The overhead door is further constituted so that a slide unit 39 is fitted to the slide rail 31 in a manner that the slide unit 39 can travel, the slide unit 39 and the upper end of the shutter curtain 9 are connected by a connecting arm 41 and sprockets 22 and 37 are secured at both end sections of the slide rail 31. The overhead door is further constituted so that a travelling chain 40 is stretched between both sprockets 22 and 37, the travelling chain 40 and the slide unit 39 are connected and one of both sprockets 22 and 37 can be driven.
