PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wooden soundproof wall capable of providing the soundproof effect, the sound insulating effect and the purification effect of exhaust gas and air, capable of improving an areal scenery of an installation place, and capable of providing even the healing effect by harmony with nature. SOLUTION: A sound coming out of an automobile traveling on a road, is absorbed by a carbonized sound absorbing material B formed by mixing a charcoal chip and a raw chip filled or stored inside a wall frame 2 for constituting the wooden soundproof wall 1, and is reflected and diffused in the various directions by a plate material 3 fixed to a front face of the wall frame 2. The sound intruding inside the wall frame 2 is mutually reflected on the reverse surface side of the plate material 3 and a plate material 6. The sound reflected toward the road side is reduced. The sound is prevented and insulated by preventing the sound from leaking to an external part of the wall frame 2 and the sound from passing through to the rear side. A toxic substance included in the exhaust gas and the air of the automobile, is decomposed, absorbed and purified by a component included in the raw chip of the carbonized sound absorbing material B.
