PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin plate stacking device efficiently separable one by one from a stacked object of thin plates. SOLUTION: The thin plates are deposited by alternately dislocating the predetermined length on the short side. While downward pushing the short size of the thin plate of a second stage by a first pressing means, a separating means is moved along the long side between the thin plates of the uppermost stage and the second stage. The thin plate of the uppermost stage is separated over the whole long size from the thin plate of the second stage. The long size of the thin plate of the separated uppermost stage is held by a carrying means, and pushed out to a standby part. Next, while downward pushing the short side of the thin plate of a third stage by a second pressing means existing in a position opposed to a first pressing means, the separating means is moved along the long side of the thin plate, and the tin plate of the second stage is separated over the whole long side from the thin plate of the third stage.
