PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for a wrapping film roll which prevents the film roll housed rollably in the container from failing in rolling, rolling excessively, or rolling in reverse so that one end of the film roll is pulled out of the container by a given length and is cut. SOLUTION: The container 1 houses the wrapping film roll 2 having a core 3 of a hollow cylindrical shape and a wrapping film 4 rolled around the outer periphery of the core 3. The container 1 comprises a box 10 consisting of a box body 11 having an open part 12 at one side face and a lid 13 supported openably/closably on one edge of the open part 12, and shaft members 15 having a small diameter which are disposed on both end faces 11a of the box body 11 and are fitted loosely into both end openings of the housed film roll 2 to support it rotatably.
