PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve manufacturing yield of ink-jet heads. SOLUTION: In the regions corresponding to the periphery of a plurality of nozzles 8 in a fluid channel unit 4, annular cavities 6 are formed by recessed grooves 6a of a manifold plate 25 and recessed grooves 6b of a nozzle plate 26, thereby providing a low-rigidity regions near the nozzles 8. In a detection step, misalignment of the ink ejection directions from the nozzles 8 is detected. Then, in a deformation processing step, in the low-rigidity region near the nozzle 8 where the misalignment amount of the ink ejection direction exceeds a predetermined amount, an irradiation region determined corresponding to the misalignment direction and misalignment amount of the ink ejection direction is irradiated with a laser beam, thereby deforming the nozzle plate 26.
