PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil decontamination method by which the contaminated soil can be decontaminated in a short period of time by decomposing persistent polycyclic aromatic oil which is hardly decomposed efficiently by a microbe. SOLUTION: In a soil decontaminating apparatus 10, a pumping-up well 12 is formed by digging the ground positioned on the downstream side of the contaminated soil 8 vertically from the earth's surface 2. The ground water under the contaminated soil is pumped up by an attached pumping-up pump 20 until the ground water level in a saturation zone 4 reaches the position shown by a solid line. An aeration well 14 is formed by digging the contaminated soil 8 vertically from the earth's level 2 to reach another saturation zone 6 positioned under the contaminated soil 8. An attached blower 22 is driven so that air is sent to the saturation zone 6 from the lower part of the aeration well 14. A well 16 for supplying true fungi is formed by digging the ground vertically from the earth's surface 2 to reach the contaminated soil 8 and connected to a true fungus supplying tank 18. An injection containing true fungi is stored in the true fungus supplying tank 18. True fungi are injected into the contaminated soil 8 by driving a true fungus supplying pump 24.
