PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for manufacture of a paste containing an inorganic powder allowing continuous treatment with reduced amounts of foreign matter and giving a paste having excellent dispersibility in a short treating time. SOLUTION: The method for manufacture of the paste containing the inorganic powder comprises kneading by the use of a kneader having two or more supply ports for raw materials at the upper part of the edge of the trough. The parts of kneader coming in contact with the paste raw materials supplied from the supply ports are composed of or coated with a ceramic material, and the paste raw materials are kneaded by the kneader. The kneader having a paddle and a screw and two or more supply ports for raw materials at the upper part of the edge of the trough, with its parts coming in contact with the paste raw materials from the supply ports being composed or or coated with a ceramic material, is also provided.
