PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating unit-controlling apparatus of a paddy field in which planting depth of seedlings can be stabilized by pressing a float of an operation unit to a paddy field surface even when the float of the operation unit runs on large soil block, etc., exceeding a previously set range. SOLUTION: The operation unit-controlling apparatus of the paddy field working machine is constituted so as to support an operation unit 30 liftably to a machine body and carry out lifting or lowering operation of the operation unit 30 based on vertical movement of the float 32 installed in the operation unit 30. The operation unit-controlling apparatus is equipped with a first energizing means 71 for energizing the float 32 to a direction pressing to the paddy field and a second energizing means 72 acting on the float 32 for the first time in a state in which the float 32 is deviated upwardly by a prescribed amount by soil pressure from the paddy field surface through a prescribed idle mechanism and energizing the float 32 to the direction pressing to the paddy field surface.
