<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a hydrogen absorbing/releasing sheet allowing efficient heating of a powder hydrogen storage material without deterioration of the hydrogen absorbing/releasing capacity of the storage material and permitting prevention of scattering of the storage material out of a container, to provide a method for manufacturing the sheet, a method for absorbing and releasing hydrogen using the sheet and a hydrogen absorbing/releasing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet consists of a sheet-shaped base material and a hydrogen absorbing-and-releasing layer formed on at least one side of the base material and containing the hydrogen storage material. The apparatus for absorption and/or release of hydrogen has a first reel wound with the sheet in the form of a roll, a second reel rolling up the sheet after absorption or release of hydrogen, a driving means driving one or both of the reels and a heating and/or pressurizing means for the sheet to execute hydrogen absorption and/or release between the two reels, where all of these components are arranged in a tightly closed container. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
