It is intended to provide a culture container in which cells can be proliferated while maintaining the characters as chondrocytes. Namely, a culture container having a collagen layer which contains collagen in an uncrosslinked or little crosslinked state on its surface. By culturing cells in this culture container, the characters of chondrocytes can be maintained or the characters of cells potentially having chondrocytes can be expressed.
