The balcony has a hollow section piece (2) to support the balcony (1). The balcony has a base module (23) whose height can be adjusted independently against the hollow section piece. It has an indentation to lead off rainwater into the hollow section piece. The section piece can have an electric switch eg light switch and ventilation fan. The base module can have a roof module (6), with lighting (7) if wished, mounted on it in order to form a roof for the balcony underneath.
