<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming apparatus equipped with a plurality of developer containers, and realizing the improvement of maintainability and the acceleration of making components common without causing the color mixture of developer and the intrusion of a foreign matter. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a developer containing part 100 having a container base 101 capable of sliding in a right direction and four developer containers 110, 120, 130 and 140 mounted on the container base 101 at the top part of an apparatus body. Respective developer discharge ports 113, 123, 133 and 143 are made gradually longer in this order, and the height positions of the contact surfaces 115, 125, 135 and 145 of the developer discharge ports 113, 123, 133 and 143 with developer receiving ports 151 are made gradually shorter. Thus, the developer discharge port on an upstream side is prevented from coming into contact (abutting) with the developer receiving port on a downstream side when the developer containing part 100 is moved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
