摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a catalyst for producing methacrylic acid which has excellent activity and methacrylic acid selectivity, and to provide a production method of methacrylic acid capable of producing methacrylic acid with an excellent yield by using the catalyst produced thus. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst for producing methacrylic acid, which contains phosphorus, molybdenum and antimony is produced through a process of mixing an aqueous solution or aqueous slurry of heteropolyacid or its salt which contains phosphorus and molybdenum with an organic solvent solution or organic solvent slurry of an antimony compound. By using the catalyst produced thus, methacrylic acid is produced through the gas-phase contact oxidation of isobutane, methacrolein and isobutyric acid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
