PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a service which enables a plurality of users speaking different languages to speak to and communicate with each other in their languages through bidirectional interpretation without feeling the difference of languages by using IP phones or terminals connected to the Internet, as voice input/output means. SOLUTION: When processing of connecting an IP phone or a terminal to another IP phone or terminal is performed via an automatic interpreting server (30), a connection between the IP phone and the automatic interpreting server and a connection between the automatic interpreting server and another IP phone are established. A conversation voice inputted to the IP phone (10) is transmitted to the automatic interpreting server (30) installed on a network and is recognized to synthesize a voice of a translation resulting from translation processing, and the voice is transmitted to another IP phone (40) as a conversation voice in an objective language.
