PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunction machine exhibiting excellent operability, and an image data transfer system. SOLUTION: The multifunction machine is arranged such that a computer available for storing image data generated by its own apparatus/image data received from other apparatus is searched automatically (step S101), and a user is made to select a computer for storing the image data among computers thus searched (step S102).
