PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication relaying apparatus 2 that is interposed between a device control system 1 provided with a first device group 10 and second device groups 3, 4 and 5 and enables the second device groups to execute operations in accordance with a command from the device control system. SOLUTION: The communication relaying apparatus 2 relays communication between the device control system 1 provided with the first device group 10 and the second device groups 3, 4 and 5, and when the communication relaying apparatus 2 receives commands applied to the second device groups from the device control system and gives operation commands in response to the commands to the second device groups and thereafter receives operation end reports from the second device groups, the communication relaying apparatus stores operation end information denoting the completion of the operations of the second device groups into a memory 22. When receiving the same command as the previous command from the device control system 1, the communication relaying apparatus 2 determines whether or not the operations in response to the previous commands are completed on the basis of the operation end information stored in the memory 22 and informs, when the operations in response to the previous commands are completed, the device control system 1 about the completion.
