PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic circuit that deters a potential which needs to be held at a prescribed value from being fluctuated by a parasitic capacitance accompanying multi-layered wiring and a liquid crystal display which uses the same. SOLUTION: The electronic circuit has a 1st conductive layer 31b, a 2nd conductive layer 33b, and a 3rd conductive layer 36 laminated on a substrate 30 with insulating films (32 and 34); and the 2nd conductive layer 33b has lower conductivity than the 1st conductive layer 31b and 3rd conductive layer 36, the 3rd conductive layer 36 is applied with a signal potential (signal line potential V<SB>S</SB>) cyclically varying, and the 2nd conductive layer 33b is applied with a DC or AC potential (C<SB>S</SB>potential V<SB>CS</SB>) which varies at longer intervals than a potential (pixel potential V<SB>P</SB>) applied to the conductive layer 31b.
