PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method with which an optical film can be obtained by an extrusion molding method with superior productivity and with which an optical film having very small thickness unevenness can be obtained. SOLUTION: The method is disclosed for manufacturing the optical film by extrusion molding using thermoplastic resin, the manufacturing method for the optical film being characterized in that the thermoplastic resin is extruded by using a T die 5 which has a≤50μm mean value of lip edge bright-line width and a≤3μm/9 mm a bright-line width difference along the width of the T die 5.
