PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably performing control of a steering system of a vehicle by only taking out a lateral acceleration component applied to lateral motion of the vehicle by removing the lateral acceleration component by rolling of a vehicle body and accurately presuming lateral disturbance based on this. SOLUTION: The power steering device for the vehicle and the disturbance presumption device for the vehicle are provided with a presumption means 32 for presuming lateral disturbance of the vehicle from a steering angleδ, a yaw rateγ, a vehicle speed V detected by a steering angle detection means 22, a yaw rate detection means 23 and a vehicle speed detection means 25 respectively based on a steering-vehicle system model of the vehicle and the lateral acceleration component G<SB>y</SB>' applied to the lateral motion of the vehicle presumed by a lateral acceleration presumption means 37; and a control means 30 for setting a correction amount of steering assist torque so as to suppress the lateral disturbance of the vehicle from the presumption result by the presumption means 32 and correcting the steering assist torque by this correction amount.
