PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount a howitzer on a body of a truck or the like by providing a body-carriage connecting shock absorber between a body part chassis and a lower part carriage, and absorbing firing recoil force. SOLUTION: The vehicle mounting device for the howitzer is composed such that the lower part carriage 10 is provided on the body part chassis 7a of a vehicle 2 via the body-carriage connecting shock absorber 14, an upper part carriage 9 turnably supporting the howitzer 6 is provided on the lower part carriage 10, and the firing recoil force is absorbed by the body-carriage connecting shock absorber 14.
