PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaporator wherein refrigerant flows smoothly, and heat exchange between the refrigerant and air of an evaporator neighborhood is carried out by high capacity and high efficiency. SOLUTION: The evaporator 1 has an inlet 11 taking in liquid or liquid refrigerant, a heat exchange piping 13 for evaporating the refrigerant, and an outlet 12 sending out the refrigerant. The inlet 11, the heat exchange piping 13, and the outlet 11 are connected in this order, and at least one part of the heat exchange piping 13 is branched off into a plurality of parallel internal pipes 132 and 133.
