PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the variation of water feed quantity from being influenced by steam pressure in a boiler, and to improve the responsiveness of a feed water pump to prevent shut-off operation of the feed water pump in the boiler comprising the feed water pump of which rotational frequency is controlled. SOLUTION: In this feed water control method of the boiler 1 using the feed water pump 6 of which the rotational frequency is controlled, a feed water flow rate necessary for keeping a specific water level of the boiler 1 is determined on the basis of a result of the detection of the water level of the boiler, and the rotational frequency of the feed water pump 6 is controlled on the basis of the necessary feed water flow rate and a result of the detection of the feed water flow rate of the feed water pump 6.
