PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant protective device capable of quickly moving a restraint body from a standby position to a prescribed position at the time of operation, and smoothly making preparations for next collision at the time of avoiding collision. SOLUTION: The occupant protective device S1 moves the restraint body 41 connected to a driving mechanism 23 from the standby position P1 at the time of housing the restraint body 41 to the periphery of knees K of a sitting occupant M by the operation of the driving mechanism 23 at the time of anticipating vehicle collision, and can suppress movement of the knees K at the time of vehicle collision by a surface 41b side of an occupant side of the restraint body 41. The driving mechanism 23 returns the restraint body 41 to the standby position P1 at the time of avoiding the vehicle collision, wherein a driving source for moving the restraint body 41 from the standby position P1 is constituted of an electromagnetic solenoid 24 with a movable side iron core connected to a support rod 29 extending from a rear face 41a side of the restraint body 41.
