PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a transmission path to wind back rolled paper on a space where the rolled paper is placed, even in a mechanism to pinch and support the rolled paper with a movable member. SOLUTION: The paper feed device comprises: a pair of moving members 100 and 100', at least either of which is movable; supporting members 200 and 200' to support rolled paper, mounted at the openings of the core tube of the rolled paper; and a winding-back means 400 to wind back pulled-out rolled paper P. The winding-back means 400 comprises: a driver to operate the winding-back means 400; and a power transmission system 500 provided with a driving shaft extending in the axial direction of the rolled paper P. The driving shaft 530 is constituted such that it transmits its driving power to the supporting members 100 and 100', and that it guides a moving direction of the moving members 100 and 100' into the axial direction of the rolled paper P.
