PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet classifying device which stably classifies an optional sheet among sheets conveyed in series. SOLUTION: A front end guide 51 is moved in the arrow B direction at approximately the same speed as that of a conveyance belt 31 by operating a driving member 53, and a conveyance path guiding the sheet b from the conveyance belt 31 to a conveyance belt 41 is formed by the upper part 51a of the front end guide 51. In the movement, by the detection error of a detector 59, the errors in length of the sheets a and b, the response error of the driving member 53, etc., even when the tip of the front end guide 51 is contacted with the boundary between the sheets a and b in the conveyance direction, since a rotation member 51b is fitted rotatably to the tip of the front end guide 51, the rotation member 51b is moved in the B direction without being caught/stuck by/in the sheet a or the sheet b.
