PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the thickness irregularity in the lateral width direction of a green sheet caused by fluctuations in a liquid surface and to dispense with complicated control while facilitating the maintenance control of a partition gate. SOLUTION: In forming the green sheet 6 with a predetermined thickness by supplying a slurry 1 to a slurry supply box 3 from a supply hose 2 and discharging the same to the upper surface of a papermaking belt 5 from the slurry discharge port 4 provided to the lower end of the slurry supply box 3, the partition gate 7 for adjusting the thickness of the green sheet 6 is housed in the slurry supply box 3 in a liftable manner. The partition gate 7 is raised and lowered corresponding to the height H of the slurry 1 so that the outflow amount of the slurry per a unit time to the upper surface of the papermaking belt 5 from the slurry discharge port 4 is kept constant in the lateral width direction A of the slurry discharge port 4 even if fluctuations in the liquid surface are caused.
