The electrostatically controlled reflector [1] has a chamber [10] with a non transparent end cap [2] at one end and a transparent end cap [8] at the other. The chamber is filled with a light reflecting fluid [4] and an optically transparent light conducting fluid [5]. One or more LED [7] are set into the cap and by changing the control voltage [9] the reflecting boundary can be changed [3].
