The fuel injection valve for an internal combustion engine has a nozzle unit in which can axially move an outer nozzle needle (14) interacting with a first injection orifice (17), and an inner nozzle needle (15) interacting with a second injection orifice (19). The fuel injection valve has a pressure chamber (39), the volume of which is variable through the movement of at least one of the two nozzle needles so that the pressure chamber experiences a pressure change and applies an additional force on at least one of the nozzle needles.
