Regulating method for electric or electronic car brakes uses control unit (RSG), containing at least signal output and electric energy supply (10). Brake installation contains rotor (8) coupled to rotary shaft (4) for rotation with it. The rotor coacts adjacent stator coil (5). Brake installation incorporates elements (2,3) for exerting brake force onto shaft. Electric energy is fed from stator coil to control unit via redundant energy path (7), at least at time intervals. Independent claims are included for electrically or electronically controlled car brakes.
