<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of using gasification melting furnace gas capable of using stably, sufficiently and efficiently a gasification melting furnace gas as one of fuel gases in an iron works, even when a generation amount and a calorific value of the gasification melting furnace gas are fluctuated, to require no new dedicated gas supply network of a large scale to be constructed, and to restrain an impurity such as a tar and a char from being generated in the gasification melting furnace gas, so as to prevent a pipe from being fouled. <P>SOLUTION: In a coke bed type gasification melting furnace having a packed layer of cokes in a bottom part of a vertical type furnace, and for burning partially a sedimentary layer of a waste fed on the layer of the cokes with an oxygen containing gas to obtain an inflammable gas, a temperature of an upper part of the sedimentary layer is controlled at 800°C or more by blowing oxygen having 90% or more of oxygen concentration from a tuyere, the gasification melting furnace gas of the inflammable gas discharged from the gasification melting furnace is mixed with the gas used in the iron works, and the mixed gas is used as fuel in the iron works, in this method of using gasification melting furnace gas in the present invention. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
