<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique for controlling a camera or a stroboscopic device, by which the emission angle of strobe emission light is always adjusted to an optimum value, even when the aperture size of the camera is changed. <P>SOLUTION: The stroboscopic device 1 attached to the camera 2 is equipped with an emission angle varying means 8 varying the emission angle of strobe light, an information input means 9 inputting focal distance information and aperture size information from the camera 2, and a control means capable of performing operation in a 1st mode, in which the emission angle of the strobe light is controlled, based on the focal distance information and the aperture size information and a 2nd mode, in which light emission is controlled based on a command from another stroboscopic device, and inhibiting the 1st mode and setting the emission angle of the strobe light to a predetermined value, when the 2nd mode is set. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
