PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device capable of viewing the present own car state easily and pleasantly. SOLUTION: This navigation device 10 has a constitution wherein an automobile image showing the present own car position and map information or peripheral information on the periphery of the present position serving as a background are displayed in piles on a display part 13, and present own car state is taken as own car information from ECU 20 or the like, and the own car information is reflected to the automobile image.
