PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet device capable of realizing an effective use of a liquid corresponding to the frequency of use of each of a plurality of liquids in conjunction with a liquid supply operation for preventing a nozzle from becoming dry due to evaporation of a liquid in a liquid holding means. SOLUTION: This liquid jet device comprises a liquid jet head 110 having the nozzle for ejecting a liquid to a target, a capping means 120 disposed so as to cover the nozzle when needed, the liquid holding means 123 which is disposed in the capping means and impregnated with the liquid, and a liquid supply means for supplying the liquid to the liquid holding means and has the plurality of nozzles for ejecting the plurality kinds of liquids. The liquid supply means supplies the liquid to the liquid holding means based on consumption amount information of a consumption amount counter in relation to the ejection of each kind of the liquid.
