PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix a fin member of a heat transfer pipe on which a spiral fin member is externally mounted, by a method not damaging a metallic pipe by an inner peripheral edge of the fin member, to provide an inexpensive product without using a fixing member and the like by simple manufacturing technology and small number of manufacturing processes, to improve the fixing stability and the durability of the heat transfer pipe, and to keep superior heat exchanging performance for a long period. SOLUTION: A spiral part 10 is formed by spirally winding the fin member 3 made out of a metallic material onto an outer peripheral face of the metallic pipe 2 while being formed into the circular arc shape by a roller 6. A tapered part 12 is formed by cutting the inner peripheral edge 5 and/or an outer peripheral edge 7 of the fin member 3 into the taper shape from a winding end 11 of the fin member 3 by a specific length. The tapered part 12 is moved and brought close to a spiral part 10 of an adjacent fin member 3, and the taper part 12 is bent from one face side of the spiral part 10 to the other face side to be hooked and fixed on an outer peripheral edge 7 of the spiral part 10.
